The call for papers has now closed; we have had a great and diverse response, and the conference looks to be a jam-packed, intellectually and artistically stimulating, and truly international and multidisciplinary event.
The details for registration (for participants and non-participants alike) will be available here soon. As always, please e-mail any enquiries to WALK@sunderland.ac.uk.
Here’s an updated version of our conference poster. Do feel free to circulate it!
By widespread request, we are quietly extending the deadline for the call for papers until the 27th March. To all of you who have already sent in an abstract, thank you (they all look great!), and we will still get back to you about acceptances by the end of the month. From what there is so far, the conference is looking to be a jam-packed and lively event.
We’re pleased to announce keynote speaker Tim Ingold, as well as a series of WALK ON curator and artists’ talks (and walks) at the Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art.
More details soon…
